ABOUT US
There are deep disparities in oral health in regions, countries and within countries. These may be related to socioeconomic status, race or ethnicity, age, sex or general state of health.

While common dental diseases are preventable, not all members of the community are informed or are in a position to benefit from adequate oral health promotion measures.

The reduction of disparities requires broad, wide-ranging approaches, aimed at populations at higher risk for specific oral diseases and implies improving access to existing services.
